It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Grandpa and Papa Jim, James Dan Campbell on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Strait Richmond Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Jim served overseas in the Second World War as RCMC. He also served as Postmaster, Lighthouse Keeper and other occupations.
Jim was born to Murdoch & Katie Campbell in Marble Mountain on August 31, 1919. He was predeceased by his loving wife Pauline of 59 years. He is survived by his loving daughters, Donna, Marie (Rick), Linda (Jimmy), special niece Margaret Ann, Grandchildren, Paula (Juan), Lynn (Steve), Angela (David), Jamie and six great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
Jim was a very special Dad and Grandpa. By his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home and a private burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or the Malagawatch Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, VON and Home Care for all their wonderful care; also, a special thank you to the amazing staff of Strait Richmond Hospital. Jim loved you all.
