HENDSBEE, Kenneth Wencil – It is with deepest sadness we announce Kenneth Wencil Hendsbee, 63, of Dort’s Cove, Guysborough Co. died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Halfway Cove, Guysborough Co. he was a beloved son of the late Kenneth L. and Clara (Greencorn) Hendsbee. He worked as a fish plant worker for 35 years before finding his most recent employment at Central in South River for the last 4 years. He was a former member of the local Volunteer Fire Department, and was an avid fisher, and hunter. He will be missed most deeply. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Brenda Hendsbee, step-children, Douglas (Hailey) and Mandy Mosher, daughter, Tanya Hendsbee, brothers, Arnold, Louis, Raymond and Douglas Hendsbee, sisters, Evelyn MacDonald, Christine Bowie and Eva Dalton, aunt Mamie Delaney, Milford Haven Home for Special Care. Kenneth was predeceased by his brother, William Gordon (John), infant brothers, Percy and Leo. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove. Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11a.m. from St. James Anglican Church, with Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove. Funeral arrangements for Kenneth are under the care and direction of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
