GIBSON, (Wedge) Mary Elizabeth - 90, St. Peter’s, 21 July 1920 - 23 Mar 2011. It is with deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Mary Elizabeth (Wedge) Gibson. She passed away Wednesday in Richmond Villa, St. Peters, N.S. surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Minnie (Landry) Wedge. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl in 1976 and by her brothers, Johnny and Ben. Mary enjoyed knitting, bingo, family gatherings and spending time with her many friends. She is survived by her children, Marie (Dan) Davey, Moncton, N.B.; Danny (Lena) Gibson, Belmont N.S.; Noreen (George) McPhee, Louisdale, N.S.; Gerry (Lisa) Gibson, St Peters, N.S.; Billy Gibson, Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Tania Sampson (Chris), Fort McMurray, AB; Trevor McPhee (Jenna), Lawrencetown, N.S.; Blaine Davey (Amber), Dartmouth, N.S.; William "Billy Jr." Gibson, Edmonton, AB; Nora Gibson, Vancouver, B.C.; Jessica Gibson, St. Peter’s, N.S.; Cindy Hall (Don), Enfield, N.S.; Sherry (Billy) Stephens, Belmont, N.S.; nine great-grandchildren; many step-brothers and step-sisters. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, St. Peter’s. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s with Father Everett MacDow officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
