EMBREE, Elliott - 79, St. Georges Channel, Richmond Co., died Thursday, April 13, 2006, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sunnyside, Richmond Co., he was a son of the late Ira T. and Margaret (Langley) Embree. Elliott was a retired dairy inspector, a member and elder of Black River United Church, a past president of Port Hastings Historical Society, a member of the Arm of Gold Seniors Club, St. George's Channel, and the Evergreen Club Port Hawkesbury. Surviving are his wife Margaret (MacDonald); daughter, Sandra Ann Embree (Craig Steele), Ottawa; son, John (Caroline), Ottawa; brother, Rev. Ainslie (Sue) Embree, New York; grandchildren, Annslea, Zachary, Thomas, and Malcolm. predeceased by sister, Vivian Williams; brothers, Jess and Gerald. Visitation today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Black River United Church with Rev. Ainslie Embree officiating. Burial will be in MacKay Cemetery. Donations in memory of Elliott may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Black River United Church.
