Cremo, Nancy Ann – Age 56, We’koqma’q First Nation. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Born in Baddeck on February 24, 1965, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Theresa Cremo. Nancy loved children of all ages. Her famous words were "Where’s my hug". She loved Bingo. She was a member of Mawitamk Community for the last 15 years. Nancy worked at Tim Horton’s and was very active in the special Olympics. Nancy is survived by her sister; Yvonne, We’koqma’q; brothers; John William "Tiny" (Karen), William Benjamin "Willie" all of We’koqma’q, Leonard Harvey (Elizabeth), Pictou Landing and Clifford "Jake" (Valerie), Membertou; Godchildren; Kristene and Athena; godmother; Margaret Poulette and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, brothers; Joseph Dennis "Sosep", Simon "Chum" and Johnny Gaulbert Jr. and godfather; Grand Chief Ben Sylliboy. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in We’koqma’q Community Centre, 15 Reservation Rd. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Blessed St. Kateri Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Salite to follow. Please note to attend visitation and funeral you will need proof of double vaccines and face masks are also required to attend.
