Clyke, Donna Louise (Borden) - Sunnyville, Guysborough Co. Age 87. Passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital with family by her side. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Edward Marshall and Bernice Viola (Williams) Borden.
Donna was an active member of Sunnyville United Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at the fish plant in Canso for many years from there she went to work at Guysborough Pharmacy until she retired.
Donna is survived by her children, Robert (Rose), Bernice (Harry) all of Sunnyville; Kenneth, Montreal; Marion, Halifax; William, Sunnyville; Laurie (Harold),Truro; sisters, Marion "Beth", Montreal; Theresa, Ottawa; brothers, Charles (Evie), Truro; George, Montreal; 23 grand-children and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Roy "Duke" Clyke; her daughters, Patricia and Jean; son, Timothy; grandchildren, Harry, LeRoy and Kenny; great-granddaughter, Jasmine; sisters, Joyce, Freda, and Laura; brother, James.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sunnyville United Baptist Church and from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, with Rev. David Wheeler officiating, assisted by Pastor Clara Jordan. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. A reception willfollow in Sunnyville Hall. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Donna to Canadian Cancer Society.
