CRESINE, Maude Bessie – Age 89, Guysborough passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Guysborough she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Andrews) Cresine.
Maude enjoyed knitting socks, and stuff for all her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed travelling which brought her to New York, Ottawa and other places. She loved gardening. Her flower gardens were the envy of the neighbourhood at her little cottage in Lesterdale! She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Maude is survived by her son, Cameron, Lesterdale; nieces, Freda, Margaret, Nellie, Lottie, Hilda, Mabel and Helen; grand-nephew whom she had a special bond with, Jason (Julie) Smith; as well as many other grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Florence and Blanche; brothers, John and Wesley; nieces, Marilyn, Clara Ann and Doris.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, at 1 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, Antigonish with Mr. Eugene Benoit officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Maude may be made to the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough.
