CROSS, Harry Sinclair "Curly" – of Peasbrook, Guysborough Co. passed away peacefully in Milford Haven Home for Special Care in Guysborough on Friday, December 9, 2011, at the age of 81. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Harry and Evelyn (Lumsden) Cross-Uloth.
Curly worked as a mechanic and lumberman in various parts of Canada. He later came "home" to Peasbrook. He fished out of Canso and did so until he retired in 2007. He thoroughly enjoyed being out in his boat, especially the years he fished with his dearest friend and companion, Sylvia. Curly was a well-read man and had a great store of knowledge. He loved to tell stories about his many experiences and was a great friend to all.
Curly leaves to mourn, his loving companion of 36 years, Sylvia Hargrove; sisters, Ruth (Gary), Caroline (Bob), brothers, Ian (Sylvia) and Clancy (Cathy). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Monday, December 12, in St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove. Funeral service will be 11a.m. Tuesday from St. James Anglican Church, with Rev.
