Carr, Ethel Wood "Tootie" – 81, Guysborough formerly of St. Francis Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Tootie was born in Stellarton, Pictou Co. She was a daughter of Ethel (Wood) Purvis, Valley View Villa, Riverton and the late Robert Purvis. Tootie was a homemaker and worked in the Housekeeping Dept at the Port Hawkesbury Motel. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Ladies Aide, St. Francis Harbour. She is survived by her loving mother, Ethel (Wood) Purvis, age 104, and daughter, Carol Ann (Warren) England, St. Francis Harbour; grandchildren, Maurice, Howard, Christopher and Jonathan, great-grandchildren, Colby, Kylie, Dylan, Liam and Sonny. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice and son, Bobby. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Francis Harbour with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Tootie may be made to St. Francis Cemetery Fund, Milford Haven Home for Special Care, P.O.
