Carrigan, Elizabeth Ann – 51, Antigonish formerly of Sand Point, Guysborough Co., died Saturday, April 24, 2010 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of Ernest Earle and Jessie Elizabeth (Welsh) Carrigan, Sand Point, Guysborough Co. Betty Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting and watching movies. She is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Sheldon) MacIntyre, Sand Point and Chelsey Carrigan, Halifax; sisters, Shelley and Karen Carrigan, both of Antigonish; brothers, Rick, Antigonish and Chris, Mulgrave; several aunts and uncles. Betty Ann was predeceased by her sister, Debbie. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, the doctors, nurses and caregivers that have provided care, dedication and attention over the years. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, in St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford, with Rev. Dennis Hayward officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Hadleyville. Donations in memory of Betty Ann may be made to Hadleyville Cemetery or St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation, Antigonish. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
