DELANEY, Mamie Catherine- Age 90, Queensport, Guysborough Co., passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Halfway Cove, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Greencorn) Greencorn. Mamie enjoyed playing cards and bingo and enjoyed knitting in her younger years. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Queensport. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her sons, Bernard (Betty), Harbour Breton, NL; Henry (Frances), Half Island Cove; daughter, Margaret (Vince), Antigonish; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; daughter, Theresa; brothers, Clarence, Louis, Howard, Murray, Covert and Joseph; sisters, Clara (Ken) Hendsbee, Kay (Donald) Sangster; grandsons, Barry George and Corey Delaney. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday from Christ Anglican Church, Queensport with Rev. Sue Channen officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Milford Haven Home for Special Care or to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
