DECOSTE, Joseph Arthur "Joe"- Age 71, Mulgrave, Guysborough Co., passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Antigonish he was a son of the late Timothy Edward and Mary Elizabeth (DeCoste) DeCoste. Joe was a 37yr employee of Martin Marietta in Auld’s Cove. He was the owner and operator of DeCoste and Sons and a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave. Joe enjoyed four wheeling, truck pulls, ski doo racing, but most of all he enjoyed having all his family around. He loved telling stories and listening to newfie music. Surviving are his loving wife of 34 years, Edna (Marchand) DeCoste, Mulgrave; daughters, Jacqueline Marie (Aubrey), Crystal Dawn Baillie (Ashley), both of Pictou; sons, Daniel (Cynthia), Mulgrave; David (Mandy Reid), Deer Lake, NL; Rodney (Kim), Mulgrave; Walter Marinuzzo (Nadia), Milton, Ont; sisters, Anna (Eric) Ryan, Mulgrave; Marie (Arnold) DeCoste, Antigonish; brother, Alphonse, Antigonish; grandchildren, Alecia, Merissa, Delaney, Dylan, Carlie, Addison, Jenny, Micaela, Ryan, William, Evan, Payton, Chloe, Tessa, Dylan, Olivia; great-grandchildren, Marlee, Rylynn, Kiana, Kale. Joe was predeceased by brothers, Bernie, Harold and James; sister, Helena Benoit. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Friday from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence Church, Mulgrave, Mulgrave and Area Resting Place or to the QEII Health Foundation.
