Obituary
Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Doyle, Paul Joseph – Bayfield, Antigonish Co. age 65 years. Passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Paul was born in Whiteside, on November 19, 1949 to the late Tom and Helen (Maddox) Doyle.
Paul was very premature and the doctors were not sure he was going to make it; but he did. He loved the peace, tranquility and close-knit community of Whiteside and sought that out throughout his life. He became a teacher and principal and built his own homestead in Bayfield, Antigonish Co., where he raised 3 children, David, Diana and Leanne and an assortment of strangely willful and personable farm animals. He tried to do things his way and mostly did them with a laugh. He enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren, Jack, Emily and James, his sisters, Grace and Donna, brother, Daniel and his friends in his home to his last day. Not everyone gets what they want out of life; but he did. Many thanks to his friends and the St. Martha's team that supported him so much.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 31 at 11 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Callistus Abazie officiating. A reception will follow.
