DODGE, Maurice – 63, Dundee; Richmond Co. passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at home. Born in Famme, Bay De’Leau, NL; he was a son of Florence (Kearley) Dodge, of Gander, NL; and the late Otto Dodge.
Maurice worked as an electrician for Stora Forest Industries, in Point Tupper, NS. He was an adherent of Black River United Church, Black River. Surviving are his wife, Annie (Parsons) Dodge, Dundee; daughter, Kim (Jamie) Primmer, Legal, AB; granddaughter, Kearley, grandsons, Michael and Joshua, sisters, Shirley (Reg) Hedges, Gander, NL; Mary Dodge, Gander, NL. Also left to mourn are his mother-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Parsons "Mudder", brothers-in-law, Garry (Sandra) Parsons, Darryl Parsons, Jim Tierney, sister-in-law, Maxine (Pat) Reardon all of Corner Brook, NL. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Maurice was predeceased by his father Otto, and by his grandparents.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 26 at 2p.m. in Black River United Church, Black River, with Rev. David MacLean officiating. A time of fellowship will follow in St. Georges Hall. Burial will be in Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, NL at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the I.W.K Health Centre Foundation, or to any Children’s Hospital of one’s choice, to any Church of one’s choice, or to a charity of one’s choice.
