DIGDON, Clayton Robert - 83, Guysborough, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
Born in Half Island Cove, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late George and Belle (Hendsbee) Digdon. Spending 54 years as a mechanic, he owned and operated Digdon's Garage. He was a member of Guysborough Baptist Church and a member and Past Master of Eastern Light Lodge No. 72, Guysborough.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Agatha 'Gay' Hendsbee; sisters, Hilda Groen, Ontario; Ruby Pelley, Antigonish; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Aubrey and Emery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Guysborough Baptist Church with Rev. Leslie Jobb officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
