DIGDON, Allison Wylie - 74, Mulgrave, died Monday, September 20, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Mulgrave, he was a son of the late Freeman Wylie and Ida M. (Crittenden) Digdon. Allison was a retired truck driver, a member of Trinity United Church, Mulgrave, a member of the Cambrai Branch 43 Royal Canadian Legion, an honorary member of the Mulgrave Volunteer Fire Department, and a former town councillor. He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Duff; daughters, Alyson Cameron, Moncton, N.B.; Carol (Terry) Spicer, Stillwater Lake, Halifax Co.; son, Wylie, Halifax; sister, Anna Humby, Bridgewater; brother, Roy (Ruth), Mulgrave; grandchildren, Claire and Luke Spicer. He was predeceased by son, Dwayne 'Diggy'; brother, Willoughby; and niece, Carol Digdon.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 23, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury, Rev. David Tuck officiating. Burial will be in Trinity United Church Cemetery, Mulgrave. Donations in memory of Allison may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
