MacDonald, Lauchena "Lula" Katherine, Age 100 years, of East Lake Ainslie, Inverness Co. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lula on Saturday, June 18, 2016, 11 days after celebrating her 100 birthday in Magnolia Nursing Home, Enfield.Born in Lake Ainslie, Inverness Co., she was the daughter of the late Christy Ann MacPhail. She was very active in the community having served with many organizations. Lula is survived by her children, Neil (Susan), Halifax; Allan (Karen), Linacy; Chris (Patsy), Hopewell; Angus (Jean), Cole Harbour; Moriah (Brian), Gore; and daughter-in-law, Dena, Fox Brook; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Allan MacDonald. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 6-9 p.m. in East Lake Ainslie Presbyterian Church from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew MacDonald and Rev. Dr. P.A. "Sandy" McDonald officiating. Burial in East Lake Ainslie Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
