REYNOLDS, John Frank - 71 - Port Hawkesbury. It is with great sadness that the family of John Frank "Butch" Reynolds announces his passing on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney. Born in Port Hawkesbury, he was the son of the late Greta (Reynolds) Wendelbo. Butch was a caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was always ready and willing to help others. Loved seeing and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to tell jokes and stories which sometimes would drag on forever. He had a passion for buying and selling cars. He loved driving around and taking the "scenic" route. Always seen parked up at "the spot" getting the latest gossip or Friday nights at the legion having a cold one listening to the boys playing. Butch is survived by his sons, Gary (Keri), Port Hawkesbury; Frankie, Calgary; David, Medicine Hat; daughter, Jeannie (Sheldon) Boudreau, Port Morien; sister, Sandy (Gerard) DeCoste, Havre Boucher; grandchildren, Jessica (Bradley), Aaron (Britney), Meaghan, Bryce, Matthew, Carli, Owen, Kaden, great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Parker. Butch was also survived by his wife, Mary (Ryan) Reynolds who passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes Ltd, Port Hawkesbury. A Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville St., Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. The service will be in honour of Butch and Mary. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
