Macdonald, Isabel Katherine- 72, Valle Seco, Venezuela, South America, passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 2, 1940, to the late David and Isabel "Queenie" Macdonald. She grew up with her family in Blues Mills. In 1967 she went as a missionary to Venezuela where she was the administrator of a Christian nursing home until the present time. She will be affectionately remembered by brothers, David Macdonald (Florence), Fort McMurray, Alta.; Calvin Macdonald (Mary Ann), Blues Mills; sisters, Estelle Sinclair, Blues Mills; Margie Steffensen (Ron), New Glasgow ; Mabel Swan (David), Sydney, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; sisters, Ione Bartlett and infant sister, Esther; brother-in-law, Bruce Sinclair; grand-niece, Dawn Lenna Swan. She will be sadly missed by her co-workers and friends in Venezuela who dearly loved her. Although she lived far away it was always a priority to her to maintain a close relationship with her family.
Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. today, Tuesday, in Blues Mills Gospel Hall and from where the funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, with David Swan, JohnTurkington and Albert Hull. Burial in Upper River Denys Cemetery.
