Windeler, Brian Thomas – 45, Port Hastings. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Thomas Windeler on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Brian was a wonderful, loving father to Thomas, Emily and Sophie. He passes on a love of music, the outdoors, storytelling and learning. Brian is survived by his wife, Helen (MacDonald) and parents Betty (O’Keefe) and Bruce Windeler, Port Hawkesbury. Brian was the youngest of seven siblings; he is survived by his sisters, Dorothy (Gary) and Colleen (Shawn) both of Sydney; Charlene (Darren), Calgary; brothers, Henry (Janet), Goose Bay and Keith, Athabasca. Brian was predeceased by his brother, Ross and sister-in-law Brenda. There will be no visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury on Wednesday, October 20 at 3p.m. with Wayne Yorke, DLM officiating. Burial in Lime Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Brian to Thomas, Emily and Sophie Windeler.
