JOHNSTONE, Earl Wilfred Alexander – Age 68, Blues Mills, Inverness Co., passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Orangedale, Inverness Co., he was a son of the late Chester and Lucy Catherine (Bulger) Johnstone. Earl was a member of The Whycocomagh Lions Club, Sircom Lodge 66, Whycocomagh, the Cape Clear Snowmobile Club, a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1588, the Antique Car Association, past President of the Board of Directors for the local co-op and also coached girl’s hockey teams. Surviving are his wife, Connie (MacKay), Blues Mills; daughter, Katherine; sons, Jamie and Callum; sister, Sylvia (Camie) MacLean; brothers, Raymond (Cindy) and Jim (Heather). Cremation has taken place.Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. on Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. A private ceremony for Earl will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Clear Snowmobile Club or to a charity of one’s choice.
