HELLO, John Anthony - Age 64, of Point Michaud, NS, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Mike Hello and the late Mary (Elias), growing up in Campbellton, NB. John is survived by his wife, Heather (MacDonald), daughter, Haley and sister-in-law, Hazel MacDonald. John attended Saint Thomas University, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts and spent many years working in radio; ending as the News & Sports Director at CJFX in Antigonish. On return to his hometown of Campbellton, he was a Board member of The Restigouche Gallery, Campbellton River Rats/Jr. Tigers and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Memorial Civic Center. Some of John’s fondest memories were as Councillor (2001-2004) and Deputy Mayor (2004-2008), for the City of Campbellton alongside his best friend, former Mayor Mark Ramsay. John retired to Point Michaud, Cape Breton, where he continued following his love of music and photography. He was active in various community events and especially enjoyed coffee, chats and laughs with many family and friends. There will be no memorial service. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
