Fox, Lloyd Robert, Age 86 of Port Hastings, Inverness Co. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother, Lloyd Robert Fox; age 86 of Port Hastings which occurred in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Born on July 22, 1929 in Port Hastings, Lloyd was a son of the late Sam and Mary (MacQuarrie) Fox. Lloyd was one of the founding members of the Port Hastings Fire Dept, which he served for over 35 years; he started to work with the C.N.R. as a teenager for a number of years. He owned his own Taxi business; he worked for the school board where he drove Special Needs children to school. He worked for many years with Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes opening and closing graves. Lloyd enjoyed going to the cabin and snowmobiling with his friends, he liked camping where he met a lot of friends and loved working in his little garden. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jacqueline (Bissell); his 5 children, Robert (Yvonne); Donna (Joe); Dorothy (Charles); Curtis (Susan) and Kim (Brian); 10 grandchildren, Michael, Katie, Aven, Arlene, Sam, Chloe, Logan, Samantha, Allison and Jillian; 6 great-grandchildren, Michelle, Kayleigh, Terrence, Chelsea, Johnathon and Layla; brother, George (Sally); sister-in-law, Claudette Fox and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William and Ernest. The family would like to thank the emergency room Nurses and floor Nurses at Strait Richmond Hospital, Dr. Collins, Dr. Pluta and Dr. Tehrani, the EHS Paramedics and Inverness County Home Support Care Givers. In keeping with Lloyd’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A memorial service will be held in St. David’s Cemetery, Port Hastings on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 6 p.m.with Nan Corrigan officiating. A reception will follow in St. David's Hall. Memorial donations can be made in Lloyd’s memory to St. David’s Church, Port Hastings or a charity of your choice.
