Fraser, John "Jack"- Age 75 Aberdeen, Inv. Co. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Fraser of Aberdeen, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck.
Born in Aberdeen on November 19, 1939, he was a son of the late John A. and Jessie (Smith) Fraser. He was a member of Stewart United Church. He retired from Stora Port Hawkesbury in 1998. Jack loved the simple things...fishing, playing crib and watching sports, especially his Montreal Canadians. We will especially miss his teasing and tormenting!
He is survived by his wife, Millie (Ellis), his son, Gary (Darlene) and his daughter, Beverly (Garfield); grandchildren, Jeremy and Shyla Ellsworth, Colby and Kaitlin Fraser; step-children, Faith, David, Dianne, and Mary Lee; sisters, Janet (David) Westcott, Myra (Allister) Gillis, Edna (Donald) Stewart, sister-in-law, Audrey Fraser and brother-in-law, Bobby MacMillan, many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin sister Joan in infancy; brother, Donald; sister, Martha and grandbaby, Jayden Fraser.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 20, from 2-8 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. There will be no funeral service. Burial to follow at a later date in Stewartdale Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or Victoria County Memorial Hospital. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
