Feltmate, Nina Leona — 64, Port Hawkesbury, formerly of Canso, which occurred Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the Frederick and Leona (Newell) George. Nina was a homemaker and a member of Causeway Pentecostal Church, Port Hawkesbury. Surviving are her loving son, Christopher (Joy), Precious grandsons, Chandler and Jake, all of Edmonton, Alta. ; sisters , Laurena Nash, Enfield; Shirley Greencorn, Canso; Freda Konning, Picton, Ont. ; Pam (Tony) Bailey, New Waterford; brothers, Percy (Marie) George, Little Dover; Gordon (Noreen) George, Canso; Freeman “Buff” George, Burlington, Ont. ; Jerry (Heather) George, Canso. She was predeceased by husband, Judson. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today (Thursday) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Canso United Baptist Church, Pastor David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Fourth Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
