GREENCORN, Ronald Hazen "Ronnie"- Age 68, Canso, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, in the Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Half Island Cove, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Ira Jean Greencorn and Horace Anderson. Ronnie worked for many years at the Canso Fish Plant and lobster fishing. Ronnie will be dearly missed by his wife, Beatrice who was his best friend and soul mate for over 25 years. He is also survived by sons, Roy (Heather), Elmsdale; Paul (Margaret), Canso; daughter, Annette (Glen) Matlock, Walla Walla, Washington, USA; brother, Victor (Sandra), Little Dover; grandchildren, Lacey, Jonah, Tori, Luke, Skyler, Chayne and Brandon. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Carson; grandson, Dustin Alvin. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Friday in St. Paul’s United Church, Canso and from where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial in Fourth Hill Cemetery, Canso. A Reception will follow in the Shamrock Club, Canso. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Canso or to the family.
