Mary "Marie" V. Girrior, 97, passed away peacefully at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville, N.S. on Friday, January 30, 2015. Raised in Lundy, Guysborough, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Alex and Angelina (Avery) Girrior. Marie’s kind smile and affection towards others will be sadly missed. She was always a joy to be around, and had many friends throughout the Centre. She will be fondly remembered for her love of cheesies, chocolate and offering kisses and friendly exchanges with others. Marie enjoyed listening and taking part in musical activities, playing bingo with friends, and going for drives throughout the valley. Marie grew up with six brothers and sisters and lived with her family until she moved to Halifax in 1961. She resided there for 40 years before moving to Waterville, N.S. in 2002. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will follow at a later date. Arrangements under the care and Direction to Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
