GOOGOO, Irene Elizabeth — 76, Waycobah First Nation. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Irene Elizabeth Googoo. She was known as "Mom" or "Grammy" in Waycobah where she spent her last 59 years. She loved making baskets, cooking for her family and fishing. She was a true friend and partner to her beloved husband, the late Peter John Googoo. She is survived by her sons, Joe (Judy), Bryan (Colleen), Byron (Jolee), all of Waycobah; daughters, Jean (Steve) MacLean, Wilburn; Karen (Mike) Doucette, Eskasoni, and Muriel Googoo of Waycobah; 40 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
