GEORGE, Charles Daniel - 92, Upper Whitehead, Guysborough Co., passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Peas Brook, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Daniel and Gertrude (Jamieson) George. He was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Queensport. In his earlier years, he was a former postmaster at Upper Whitehead, and in later years he worked at the fish plant in Canso and the Department of Transportation. He is survived by his daughter, Fern and son-in-law Dennis Parker; grandchildren, Melanie and Rosetta Parker, Nicole, Amanda and Daniel George; sister, Doris Dyzon. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Shannahan); brother, Howard; sister, Helen; son, Bruce. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Anglican Church, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
