GEORGE, William Joseph 'Billy' - 75, Halfway Cove, Guysborough Co., died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Halfway Cove, he was a son of the late Clement and Bertha (George) George. He was a retired employee of the Department of Transportation, Guysborough. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Queensport. Surviving are daughters, Valerie (Joe) Richardson, Halfway Cove; Beverley (Ricky) Gormley, Murray River, P.E.I.; son, William (Lynn), Truro; sisters, Marie (Dave) Rhynold, Bessie Brown, both of Halfway Cove; brother, Raymond, Half Island Cove; grandchildren, Daniel, Richard, Rachel, Donald, Brittany, Morgan; special friends and avid card players, Marge Meagher and Lenora Scott. He was predeceased by brother, Jimmy. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Billy may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church or Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
