MOORING, Carl Raymond - 71 Little Dover, Guysborough Co. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, and 'Poppy' on Monday, September 7th 2015, in the QE2 in Halifax. Born in Springhill, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Higgins) Mooring. He was a carpenter by trade, but spent the last number of years working for G & C fisheries, a company he thoroughly enjoyed being part of. Known for his sense of humour and ability to make us all laugh, Carl's greatest love of all was his family. He will be forever loved and sadly missed. Surviving are his loving wife, Lorraine (Haines) Mooring; daughters, Kelly (Shawn) Rhynold of Little Dover; Karla (Chris) Chisholm, of Antigonish; brother, Harold Mooring, of Truro; his pride and joy, his precious grandchildren, Chase, Brooklyn, Kai and Danny Jack Chisholm, of Antigonish; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Layton, Bennie and infant brother Arthur. Special thanks to Carl's dear friend Keith Hollett, and Fr. Alfred Eshun of St. Michael's Parish, Spryfield. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Saint Agnes Building fund.
