MEAGHER, Kenneth Maurice -64, Mulgrave, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Edward Sylvester and Margaret Mary (Bowie) Meagher. He was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave and also of the Snow Drifter Snowmobile Club in Guysborough and was also involved with the MacPherson Lake Fish and Game. He enjoyed retirement at his camp and the door was always open for refreshments. Hunting, fishing and snowmobiling were a big part of his life. He looked forward to his snowmobiling trips to Newfoundland and especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Miranda Meagher and nephews, Latham and Jordan Meagher. Surviving are his sister, Glenda, Mulgrave; brothers, Keith (Annette), Edmonton; Kimble (Darlene), Mahone Bay; Jerome (Rose), Pirate Harbour; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Brian, Karen, David, Miranda, Latham, Jordan, Attison and Jasime. There will be no visitation. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Snow Drifters Snowmobile Club, St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Middle Melford or to a charity of one’s choice.
