KING, Leonard "Leo" -- 87 of Evanston passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family at the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was the son of the late Edward and Laura King. Leo was an employee of C.N.R. for over 37 years until he retired in 1981. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council 7924. Leo loved hunting, fishing, and Saturday night hockey. He enjoyed visits from family and friends and special buddies, Hobo and Lady. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marie; brothers, Walter (Florence), Rockdale, Jim (Helen) and Albert all of Port Hawkesbury; sisters, Geraldine (Arthur) Latimer, Arichat; Darlene (Buddy) MacLean, Ontario and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Carl, Cecil, Edward, Earl and sister, Catherine.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday, February 10 and Monday February 11 in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home in Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial to follow at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to St. Francis de Sales Parish or Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Words of Comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
