ROSSONG, Mary Bernice – 81, Canso, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dover, July 9, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Ned and Lalia (Munroe) Boudreau. Bernice dedicated her life to providing a home filled with love and laughter for her husband and eight children. A friend to many, she was always up for a game of cards or a night at bingo. She is survived by sisters, Theresa (Clarence) Keefe, Little Dover; Winnifred (Howard) Jackson, Canso; brothers, Edward (Stella) and Cletus, Little Dover; daughters, Lil (Ken) Lewis, Ont; Marie (Dave) Richardson, Canso; Karen (Davie) Andrews, Bernadette (Clarence) Creamer, both of Phillips Harbour; Lisa (Kevin) Gallant, Sackville; sons, Eddie (Marilyn), Eastern Passage; Bernie (Diana), Musquodoboit Harbour; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Junie, son, Gerald, grandchild, Wendy Rossong, great-grandchild, Ryan Nadrofsky, brothers, Albert, Les, Arnold and Gerald. Visitation will be 2-9p.m. Wednesday, September 21, in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be 11a.m. Thursday, September 22, from Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso, with Father Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
