KING, Cecil George … 71, Port Hawkesbury, died Thursday, December,27, 2007 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Point Tupper, he was a son of the late Edward and Laura King. Cecil was a former employee of C.N.R. and later retired from the Port Hawkesbury Public Works Department. He was a longtime member of the Strait Serenity Club. He is survived by wife Doris (Stultz); stepchildren Murray, Penny, Carl, Herman, William; brothers Eddie (Annie), Leo (Marie), Walter (Florence), Jim (Helen), Albert; sisters Geraldine (Arthur) Latimer, Darlene (Roderick) MacLean; granddaughter Katrina; great grandson Miles; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Carl, Earl, sister Catherine and stepson John. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9pm Saturday with a Vigil Service at 2pm Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be 10am Monday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Fr. Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Strait Serenity Club.
