Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
LeVANGIE, William "Stanton" - 57, Frankville, Antigonish Co., died suddenly Tuesday, November 14, 2006, in the home of his birth while caring for his mom as he did faithfully for the past few years. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of Anna (Fougere) LeVangie, Frankville, and the late Patrick X. LeVangie.
Stanton was a light in his community and music was his magic. He worked at Stora Enso for over 25 years and was an active and wonderful part of St. Paul’s Parish Choir. Stanton enjoyed playing in several bands, the first being The Heart Beats, later Wayne and the Telecasters.
Stanton will be loved and sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by sons, Glenn, at home; Bruce (Gina), Frankville; Conrad, Fort McMurray, Alberta; his special beloved granddaughter, Winter, and we couldn’t forget his faithful pal, Jake. Also surviving are brothers, Peter (Janet), Ottawa; Curtis (Joan), Porters Lake; sisters, Patricia Josey, Dartmouth; Paula (Paul) Breen, Frankville; Marion (Lloyd) DeWolfe, Halifax; Dianne (Giles) Gaudet, Shad Bay; Janice (Donnie) Tobin, Truro; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Monica (Greencorn), on October 4, 2006; brother, Ambrose.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today in St. Paul’s Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Havre Boucher, Father Robert McNeil officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Reception to follow.
