It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Catherine (Halloran) Hart, 57, of Manchester, Guysborough County on Friday, December 18, 2015 at home. A lifelong resident of Guysborough, Cathy was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Bond) Halloran. Cathy was a dedicated and loyal employee of the Strait Regional School Board for 35 years. She loved playing softball in her earlier years and also enjoyed curling at Boylston Curling Club and taking photos of the beautiful scenery in the area. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family and with her greatest love and joy being her son, Cory and her two grandsons, Rylan and Evan who she was so very proud of. Cathy is survived by her son, Cory (Sherry) Hart, of Calgary, Alberta; a proud, grandma to Rylan and Evan. She is also survived by her sister, Marian (Allister) Brow, brothers, Jimmy (Denise) Halloran, and Gerard Halloran, all of Guysborough; brother, Leo (Helen) Halloran of Porters Lake; sister, Rose Halloran (Louis George) of Musquodoboit Harbour; a proud aunt to Jennifer and Cindy Brow, Jeralee, Tyler and Whitney Halloran, Sheryl Delaney, Jodi MacLaughlin and Aidan Halloran. Also survived by Cory`s Dad and friend Steve Hart; "Mom" Bertha Hart who she so adored; sister-in-law, Bonnie Hart; her dear friend, Bev Simpson and all of her close friends. As per Cathy`s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9th from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Guysborough with Father Danny MacLennan officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Cathy you will be missed by all of us. Rest easy and dance with the Angels. Until we meet again. Memorial donations in memory of Cathy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
