Horton, Margaret ""Anne"" (Trask) (Christian) - age 75 years, Port Hawkesbury, passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Yarmouth on November 23, 1939 she was a daughter of the late Jack and Kay (Nickerson) Trask. Anne worked at the Red Grill at Woolco in Port Hawkesbury for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Debra Christian, Hilden; sons, Gerald (Rita) Christian, Port Hawkesbury and Steven (Vicki) Christian, Halifax; grandchildren, Jeric (Kayla) Landry; Amber Little; Tasha (Rob Pollard) Christian; Shallyn (Joel) MacDonnell; Mitchell (Shawna Hines) Christian; Jordan Christian; Brandon Christian; Cassandra Christian and many great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Porter and Heather Trask. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Donald ``Donnie`` Horton; brother, Brian Trask.
The family would like to thank the staff of Strait Richmond Hospital for the wonderful care they took of Anne over many months.
In keeping with Anne`s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A graveside service in Southbrook Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, with Nan Corrigan officiating.
Donations in memory of Anne may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (NS), Royal Canadian Legion Br. 43, Port Hawkesbury or a charity of your choice.
