Haines, David Sr. - 88, Little Dover, Guys. Co., passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. David was born in Little Dover, December 20, 1922 a son of the late Peter and Julie (Fougere) Haines. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Little Dover. David was a fisherman, he started fishing at the age of 11 and retired at age 67. He is survived by his son, David Jr. (Carrie), Little Dover; daughter-in-law, Colleen Boudreau, Little Dover, grandsons, David Robert and Byron, great-grandson, Ryder, brother, John Haines, Little Dover. He was predeceased by his wife, Alvina (Bouchie), son, Clarence Peter, sisters, Blanch Casey and Alvina Mason, brothers, James and Walter Haines. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in David’s memory may be made to Eastern Memorial Palliative Care, Canso.
