Hart, Ross Wilfred – 88, Boylston, Guysborough County, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough. Born in Cook’s Cove, Guys. Co., he was a son of the late Levi and Minnie (Peart) Hart.
Ross served in the Royal Canadian Navy; he was stationed in Halifax and Quebec. Ross was a member of Boylston United Church and a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 81, Guysborough for over 50 years. He was a retired carpenter; he loved to spend time in the garden and woodworking, especially making 6’ lighthouses. Ross is survived by his wife, Emily (McCall), daughter, Doris Des Roche, Florida, U.S.A.; son, James Gordon (Mary Lou) Hart, New Hampshire, U.S.A; and sister, Lillian Green, Florida, U.S.A.; grandson, Ryan Ross Hart, New Hampshire, U.S.A.; he was predeceased by son, Cyril, son-in-law Robert Des Roches, sisters, Jean Hart, Florence Kerr, Lois Taylor, Emma Spanks, Verna Taylor and Cora England, brothers, Harold, Gordon, Cyril, Carl, Edgar, Earl and Arthur.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16 at Boylston United Church Cemetery with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Ross’s memory to Boylston United Church, Guysborough Memorial Hospital or charity of choice.
