HORTON, Judson David - 74, Canso, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Canso, he was a son of the late Hiram and Alfreda (Bond) Horton. He was a mail carrier, a member of the Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso, and a veteran of the Korean War serving with the Royal Canadian Army. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 46, Canso. Surviving are his wife, the former Blanche (Snow); daughters, May Snow, Halifax; Jean Goodwin, Renous, N.B.; brother, Douglas, Belleville, Ont. He was predeceased by his sister, Florence Bond.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating with burial in the parish cemetery.
