HORNE, James Joseph 'Jim' - 89, Little Dover, died Saturday, September 11, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Mason) Horne. He was a lifetime fisherman and a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover. Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth (Berky) DeCoste, Havre Boucher; stepdaughters, Lena Armsworthy, Kenzieville; Muriel Rhynold, Country Harbour; Jenny (Charles) MacPherson, Guysborough Intervale; Amy Gosbee, New Glasgow; Genesta (Wes) Mosher, Fox Island; Glenda, at home; Shirley (Ralph) Lawrence, Merigomish; stepson, Whylie (Gloria) Hendsbee, Country Harbour; sisters, Annie Casey, Little Dover; Mamie Fanning, Canso; 49 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Evie, and second wife, Laura; son, Arthur; stepdaughters, Gladys, Darlene; six grandchildren; two sisters in infancy; brothers, Sam, Andrew 'Ander', and two in infancy.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating.
