HORNE, James Joseph 'Jim' - 89, Little Dover, died Saturday, September 11, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Mason) Horne. He was a lifetime fisherman and a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover. Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth (Berky) DeCoste, Havre Boucher; stepdaughters, Lena Armsworthy, Kenzieville; Muriel Rhynold, Country Harbour; Jenny (Charles) MacPherson, Guysborough Intervale; Amy Gosbee, New Glasgow; Genesta (Wes) Mosher, Fox Island; Glenda, at home; Shirley (Ralph) Lawrence, Merigomish; stepson, Whylie (Gloria) Hendsbee, Country Harbour; sisters, Annie Casey, Little Dover; Mamie Fanning, Canso; 49 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Evie, and second wife, Laura; son, Arthur; stepdaughters, Gladys, Darlene; six grandchildren; two sisters in infancy; brothers, Sam, Andrew 'Ander', and two in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations in Jim's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
