Obituary
Please share a memory of Catherine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
MacEACHERN, Catherine Margaret "Kaye"- Age 86, Judique, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, surrounded by her cousins and friends. She was a woman of strong faith and lots of determination. Everyone saw how graceful she handled her hardships and how she made everyone around her smile and remain up-beat. Kaye loved her life in Judique and always attended community events.
She was predeceased by her parents, Allan and Katie (MacInnis) MacEachern; brothers, Alec, John, Allan; sister, Mary. Kaye is survived by her brother, Angus, Inverness; brother-in-law, John Connors, Windsor, Ont; sister-in-law, Helen MacEachern, Oshawa, Ont; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
We would like to thank the staff at both the Guysborough and Port Hawkesbury Nursing Homes for the excellent care Kaye received. We also want to thank the doctors and nurses at the Strait Richmond Hospital for their care and compassion during Kaye's stay there.
Kaye will rest from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday in the Community Room of the Judique Fire Hall. Funeral mass will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Judique with Father Allan MacMillan officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Donations in honour of Kaye may be made to St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery Fund or to the Judique Volunteer Fire Dept.
