Morash, Harriet Elizabeth - Age 71 of Cleveland, Richmond Co. Passed away suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2016 at home. Harriet was born in Inverness; she was a daughter of the late Robert and Charity (Dort) Spears.
She was a homemaker and co-owner and operator of several family businesses. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury. She loved gardening, snowmobiling and hiking.
Harriet leaves to mourn her daughters, Rachel Fowlie, Cleveland; Nancy Morash (Kevin McGuigan), Middle Sackville; Virginia MacNeil (Jeff), Greenville, South Carolina; grandsons that could do no wrong in Nanny’s eyes, Devin and Jeremy; sisters, Anna Hodgson, Port Hood; Ruby MacMillan (Robbie), Inverness; Edna Smith, Heatherton; brothers, Edgar (Sadie) Spears, Lloyd (Diane) Spears, Cecil (Helen) Spears all of Port Hood. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; brothers, Donald and Gary.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 4 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville Street, Port Hawkesbury with Father Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick`s Cemetery, Whiteside. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harriet’s memory may be made to Whiteside Church Preservation Society (St. Patrick’s) or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
