Nicholson, Gary John - Age 55 of Whycocomagh, Inverness Co. Passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Baddeck on March 2, 1961 he was a son of the late Daniel and Katherine (MacLean) Nicholson. Gary was a well known and a very skilled truck driver for many years. He enjoyed sports and outings on his side-by-side. He leaves to mourn his loving partner, Holly Matthews, Whycocomagh; stepdaughter, Tracy (Nick) Davidson, New Glasgow; stepson, Derick Jollimore (Amie), Halifax; sisters, Linda (Aulay) MacLean, Middle River; Debbie Nicholson, Sydney; brothers, Dougie (Mora), Little Narrows; Myron (Marguerite), Bucklaw; grandchildren, Breagh Davidson, Josh Jollimore, Jaxon Jollimore; niece, Connie and nephew, Jerry who were like a sister and brother to Gary, 7 nieces and 7 nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews. He also leaves his 2 fur babies Mutt and Jeff. Visitation will take place in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh on Friday, August 5, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 6, at 11 a.m. in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Gary may be made to Central Inverness County Palliative Care.
