INNIS, (Whitman) Esther Marie – 81, Guysborough, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough. Born February 17, 1930, in Cook’s Cove, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mamie (Taylor) Whitman. She was a member of, and past organist for Christ Anglican Church, Guysborough. Her husband of 56 years, William John Innis, predeceased her on July 21, 2011. She is survived by son, William, Guysborough; daughters, Monica Kennedy (Anthony), Roachvale; Catherine (Murray) Greene, Ashdale; Anne Marie Innis, Mill Cove; grandchildren, Tara Kennedy, Calgary AB; Melanie Greene, Ashdale; Ryan (Andrea) Greene, Ashdale; Amanda Greene (Nathan), Lower South River; Alexis Andrews, Mill Cove; great-grandchildren, Taedon Anderson, Alexander and Donovan Greene. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brother, George Whitman, and sister, Ruth Cook. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 12, at 11a.m. from Wesley United Church, Guysborough, with Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. A reception will follow the funeral service in the Royal Canadian Legion, Guysborough. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
