MacKenzie, Stephen Robert ‘Steve’ - Age 63 of Little Dover, Guysborough Co. Passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Canso, Steve was a son of the late Wallace and Laura (Davie) MacKenzie. He was a retired offshore fisherman. He leaves behind to mourn, his sons, Doug (Marlene); Warren; daughter, Kerry (Dennis); grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Layne, and Samuel; sisters, Gail (Wayne) Ashford, Nancy (Gary) MacDonald, Christine (Todd) Ross; brothers, Mike (Dianna), Stan (Carla Noseworthy); as well as several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Ann (Grant); brothers, Timothy and Rodney, nephews, Gordon Grant and Dennis MacKenzie. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
