Nickerson, Rose Marjorie Kathleen – 81, Canso, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter to the late Wallace and Hilda (Greencorn) Roberts. Rose was an active member of Canso United Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Hazel George and Helena (David) Greencorn, both of Canso; Nancy (Tim) Smith, South Carolina; son, Wallace (Lori), Canso; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Pearl, Canso; Florence, Newfoundland; brothers, Edward, Canso; James, Port Hawkesbury; nieces and nephews; Rose was predeceased by husband, Burton; sisters, Ollie, Mary, Margaret and Hazel; brothers, Tom, Ted, Wallace and Harvey. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday from Canso United Baptist Church with Rev.
