SIMPSON, Keith Douglas – 48, Orangedale, (Seal Cove), Inverness Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Born in Inverness, on July 5, 1963, he was a son of Jenny Bell (MacKinnon) Simpson, and the late Douglas Simpson. Keith will be greatly missed by his wife Sheri (MacDonald) Simpson, daughter Kira, son Zach, both at home, his mother Jenny, sisters, Rhonda (Pat) O’Brien, Dartmouth; Juanita (Ivan) MacInnis, Skye Glen; extended family Jerry and Maggie Ward, Soapstone Mines; Lisa and Craig Beddow, Blues Mills; Beverley and Gordon Gillis, Port Hawkesbury; 3 nieces and 3 nephews, as well as numerous aunts and uncles. Keith was predeceased by his father Douglas Simpson. Keith had a great love for sports, especially the game of baseball, which he loved playing. Not to be forgotten will be his willingness to help out anyway he could, from his children’s sporting events, or a neighbour who needed a helping hand. Visitation will be held 2-9p.m. Sunday July 24, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 11a.m. Monday, July 25, in Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh, with Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial will be in Stewartdale Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
