STOKLAS, Miroslav "Mirek"- passed away peacefully Sunday, March 20, 2016, in Cheticamp one week before his 80th birthday. He was the son of the late Frantisek and Frantiska (Halickova) Stoklas. He was born in Petrov, Czech Republic and moved to Canada in 1968. He worked as an Electrical Engineering Technologist mostly in Atlantic and Eastern Canada and made his home in Mulgrave and Port Hood. He is survived by sisters in the Czech Republic, Jirina (Jan) Michelovia and Marie (Jan) Stankova, also by his brother, Josef (Luise) Stoklas in Montreal, several nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews. His body will be cremated and his ashes will be shipped to his hometown Petrov, Czech Republic for internment, as per his request.
